iPod’s firmware
Days ago was trying to install Linux on my iPod, however several disk-like errors didn’t allow me to do so, at the end I finished with a full iPod unable to play any music file, to fix it request a partner to “format” it through iTunes on his Windows computer, he also updated the firmware to 1.2, now am not able to play anything seems that current libgpod is broken or something, neither amarok, banshee nor gtkpod are working, tomorrow will downgrade to 1.1.

sometimes ago, same happend to me, i had to reinstall all again in the ipod, and then lost my music..
and in other situacion with gtkpod i could save the music restoring the itunedb. and then start to work again.
(sorry my language.. ^_^U )
I’ve downgraded to 1.1 and still didn’t play. After removing all files from /media/ipod, executing
ggst-register-0.8and using
gnupod_INIT -m /media/ipod/And the synchronizing my list through Banshee everything is working. Will try tomorrow again by upgrading to 1.2 and then doing same process.
great!! that command i never seen before thanks
BTW, I installed gnupod-tools.
